About the Role
The Respite Lead 1 sits at the center of our weekend respite program at Pathways to Community. You'll plan and accompany participants on lively community outings—think trips to the Mall of America, live sporting events, and amusement parks—while delivering the structure, encouragement, and hands-on care that help every individual thrive. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate weekend community outings for adults with developmental disabilities.
- Create a welcoming, well-organized experience filled with engagement and joy.
- Provide attentive support, supervision, and personalized assistance during activities.
- Foster independence and social connection through inclusive, community-based experiences.
- Ensure participant safety and well-being throughout each outing.
Qualifications
- Genuine enthusiasm for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and group-leadership abilities.
- Dependability and availability to work weekends in an on-site, US-based capacity.
- A patient, positive, and proactive approach to care and supervision.
- Comfort organizing and guiding small-group activities in community settings.
