About the Role

As a Repair and Tool Technician at Home Depot in Slidell, you will diagnose, service, and restore small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical tools. Working across our store-based Tool Rental Centers and dedicated repair facilities, you will keep equipment in dependable, customer-ready condition while guiding customers toward the right gear for their needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices.
• Assess the condition of units and determine the most effective repair or maintenance approach.
• Provide knowledgeable equipment recommendations to customers and team members.
• Maintain serviced units to ensure reliable, safe, and ongoing performance.
• Support operations in both Tool Rental Centers and Home Depot repair centers.

Qualifications

• Practical experience evaluating and repairing small engines and outdoor power equipment.
• Working knowledge of handheld electrical devices and general repair techniques.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• A customer-focused mindset and the ability to clearly explain equipment options and recommendations.
• Availability to work full-time on-site in Slidell, Saint Tammany Parish.
