About the Role

As a Repair and Tool Technician with Home Depot in Johns Pass, Pinellas County, you'll be the expert behind the equipment — assessing the condition of small engines, outdoor power machinery, and handheld electrical devices, then carrying out the repairs that keep them running. This on-site, full-time position is based across our store-located Tool Rental Centers and dedicated repair facilities, putting your mechanical know-how to work every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and troubleshoot small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical tools to determine the cause of malfunctions.
• Perform repairs and routine servicing to return units to safe, reliable working condition.
• Advise customers and team members on suitable equipment options and replacement choices.
• Keep rental and repair inventory properly maintained and ready for use.
• Support both Tool Rental Center operations within stores and work carried out in repair centers.

Qualifications

• Practical experience repairing or maintaining small engines, power equipment, or electrical handheld devices.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical troubleshooting ability.
• A customer-focused mindset with the confidence to make clear equipment recommendations.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to safe, quality workmanship.
• Willingness to work on-site at store and repair center locations in the Johns Pass area.
