Sedgwick is hiring a full-time Remote Housing Support Specialist to join its growing team serving clients and policyholders across the country, including those in the Strathmoor Manor and broader Jefferson County area.

About the Role

As a Remote Housing Support Specialist at Sedgwick, you will be the key point of contact for individuals who have been displaced or are facing housing disruption due to covered losses. Working entirely from home, you will coordinate temporary housing solutions, manage related case documentation, and guide policyholders through one of the most stressful experiences of their lives — all while delivering the compassionate, efficient service Sedgwick is known for.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate temporary housing placements for displaced policyholders, ensuring timely and appropriate accommodations are secured
  • Serve as a dedicated point of contact for claimants, responding to housing-related inquiries with clarity and care
  • Collaborate with claims adjusters, vendors, and housing providers to align on timelines, coverage, and case status
  • Review and process housing expense documentation in accordance with policy guidelines and applicable regulations
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records within claims management systems
  • Monitor active housing placements and proactively communicate updates to all relevant parties
  • Identify and escalate complex or sensitive situations to senior team members as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Prior experience in claims support, housing coordination, customer service, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
  • Comfort working independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency with standard computer applications and the ability to learn proprietary claims platforms quickly
  • Empathy and professionalism when supporting individuals in challenging circumstances
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
