About the Role

This full-time Registered Nurse ED position is based on-site at Columbia St. Mary's Milwaukee in the Emergency Department, working a mid shift schedule. As an emergency room nurse, you will be at the front line of urgent and critical care, supporting patients of all ages through rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment within a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Triage, assess, and prioritize care for patients arriving in the Emergency Department.
• Provide direct nursing care for acute, urgent, and life-threatening conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient response.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the broader care team to coordinate timely interventions.
• Document clinical findings, care plans, and patient progress thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and follow-up needs.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure valid in the state of Wisconsin.
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-moving emergency setting.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Commitment to delivering patient-centered, dignified care aligned with Ascension's values.
• Availability to work a full-time mid shift schedule on-site in Shorewood, Milwaukee County.
