Ametek, Inc. is hiring a Regional Sales Manager to drive sales growth across the Western United States. This full-time position is essential to expanding market presence and revenue for our Power Instruments business. What This Role Involves As Regional Sales Manager for the Western US, you'll lead all sales activities for California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and New Mexico. You'll drive adoption of our Measurement & Monitoring, Protection & Control, and Sensor products among investor-owned utilities, municipal utilities, EPCs, and industrial customers. Working from our Rochester, New York headquarters, you'll manage direct customer relationships while building and expanding our representative and distributor network across the region. What You'll Do Develop and execute regional sales strategies targeting bookings, revenue, and profit growth Identify new business opportunities, expand customer wallet share, and convert pipeline to revenue Build relationships with manufacturer representatives, distributors, and OEM partners to extend market coverage Recruit and onboard channel partners to deepen market penetration Cultivate strategic relationships with key utility and large industrial accounts Serve as the regional expert on Power Instruments products including fault recorders, annunciators, and protection and control systems Partner cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and operations to align solutions with customer needs Maintain accurate forecasting, CRM pipeline management, and competitive intelligence Champion a growth mindset and continuous improvement across the territory Represent Ametek at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer presentations Qualifications Bachelor's degree (Electrical Engineering or Business preferred) 5+ years selling technical products in power transmission, distribution, or generation markets Deep knowledge of Western US utility and energy markets, renewables, and grid modernization Experience with metering, power system communications, protection and control, or related technologies Familiarity with major Western utilities (PG&E, Southern California Edison, San Diego Gas & Electric, Bonneville Power Administration, Xcel Energy, Arizona Public Service) Demonstrated experience in renewable energy markets (solar, wind, storage) and grid modernization initiatives Willingness to travel 20-40% throughout the region Ability to manage a large, geographically dispersed territory with complex multi-stakeholder sales cycles Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms Proven track record building and…
