About the Role As Regional In-House Counsel at Sartorius, you will partner with colleagues across the business to deliver strategic legal counsel that enables solution-focused, risk-conscious choices. Reporting to the Head of Legal Affairs, Americas, and collaborating with fellow Regional Counsel, you will advise stakeholders at every level, coordinate with the global legal team, and help protect the company's interests in a fast-moving international setting. Spanish fluency is essential. This position is based from a home office on the East Coast of the United States. Key Responsibilities Provide prompt, accurate, and business-minded legal advice that reduces risk and advances commercial goals. Monitor adherence to internal policies and applicable laws governing operations in the US and Canada. Draft, review, and negotiate customer and supplier sale and service agreements, IP and software contracts, and agreements supporting product development, R&D, and marketing. Assess legal risk affecting operations and offer practical guidance on strategic decisions. Guide complex, multi-stakeholder legal matters toward effective resolution. Oversee litigation and direct outside counsel where required. Deliver training to internal teams and research laws, rulings, and regulations to produce actionable recommendations. Qualifications Active, good-standing member of a state bar association on the East Coast. At least 3 years in corporate or commercial law, preferably within an international business. Proven experience as in-house counsel or in a comparable advisory capacity. Full written and spoken fluency in English and Spanish, including the ability to interpret complex contracts in both languages. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication abilities, with strong judgment, integrity, and analytical thinking. Collaborative team player able to manage time-sensitive workloads; willingness to travel regionally and internationally (10-15%). Familiarity with Puerto Rican commercial law is a plus.
