Quality Control Supervisor

Strides Pharma Inc is hiring a full-time Quality Control Supervisor in Spring Valley, Rockland County to lead laboratory testing and ensure pharmaceutical products meet rigorous quality and compliance standards.

About the Role

As the Quality Control Supervisor at Strides Pharma Inc, you will direct the analytical and microbiological evaluation of raw materials, excipients, and finished drug products at our Spring Valley, Rockland County facility. This on-site leadership position oversees the testing that safeguards product integrity, from incoming materials through final release, while mentoring the laboratory team that performs it.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the physical, chemical, and microbiological testing of pharmaceutical raw materials, excipients, and finished drug products.
• Coordinate release testing, stability studies, cleaning verification testing, and in-process analyses to confirm compliance with quality specifications.
• Supervise the daily activities of chemists, microbiologists, and laboratory technicians, offering technical guidance and clear direction as needed.
• Lead laboratory investigations, document deviations, and support corrective and preventive actions to maintain quality standards.
• Promote adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and applicable regulatory requirements across all quality control operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical quality control laboratory, including chemical and microbiological testing methods.
• Familiarity with release testing, stability protocols, cleaning verification, and in-process testing of drug products.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, train, and guide laboratory personnel such as chemists, microbiologists, and technicians.
• Working knowledge of laboratory investigations, deviation reporting, and regulatory documentation practices.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to compliance, accuracy, and product safety.
