Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Codetech Inc, you will champion product reliability across the full testing lifecycle. This is a hybrid, full-time position based in Denver, Colorado, and is open to local candidates only. The contract spans approximately 12 months on a corp-to-corp basis at a rate of $70 per hour, with work delivered for a State of Colorado client.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, document, and execute detailed test plans and test cases that validate functionality against requirements.
• Identify, record, and track defects through resolution, partnering closely with developers to confirm fixes.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across application releases.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to clarify acceptance criteria and ensure thorough test coverage.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvements and help uphold testing best practices throughout the delivery cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline; comparable professional experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• At least three years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance, software testing, or a test engineering capacity.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, the defect lifecycle, and structured test documentation.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the attention to detail needed to surface issues early.
• Availability to work on a hybrid schedule in Denver, CO as a local candidate.
