SHI International is hiring a full-time PubSec Account Executive to join its US-based public sector sales team and drive IT solution sales across government, education, and other public-sector verticals.

About the Role

As a PubSec Account Executive at SHI International, you'll own and grow a portfolio of public sector accounts — building relationships with procurement officials, IT leadership, and agency decision-makers to position SHI's broad technology portfolio as their preferred provider. This is an individual contributor sales role for someone who understands how government and education institutions buy technology.

What You'll Do

  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within assigned public sector accounts, including federal, state, local government, and/or higher education
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with agency IT directors, CIOs, contracting officers, and end-users
  • Navigate public sector procurement vehicles such as GSA Schedule, SEWP, NASPO ValuePoint, and state contract agreements
  • Collaborate with vendor partners and SHI's internal solutions architects to design and propose tailored IT solutions
  • Manage a consultative sales cycle from prospecting through contract award and post-sale account management
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and account activity in CRM tools
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in B2G (business-to-government) or public sector IT sales
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes, contract vehicles, and compliance requirements
  • Strong consultative selling skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding quota
  • Knowledge of IT product categories including hardware, software licensing, cloud services, and managed services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales reporting tools
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
