Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services is seeking a compassionate Psych RN to join our At Risk Youth Residential program in Grand Rapids, Kent County, on a part-time basis. About the Role As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse in our At Risk Youth Residential setting, you will deliver attentive, trauma-informed nursing care to children and adolescents living in a structured residential environment. This part-time position is scheduled for 24 hours per week on a rotating 12-hour first-shift pattern — alternating weekly between approximately 9:00 a.m.–9:30 p.m. and 11:30 a.m.–12:00 midnight — and includes an every-other-weekend and holiday rotation. A $4,000 sign-on bonus is offered to welcome you aboard. Key Responsibilities Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to at-risk youth residents in a residential treatment setting. Administer and monitor medications, document patient responses, and uphold safety protocols. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to support each resident's individualized treatment plan. Respond to behavioral and medical needs with patience, clinical judgment, and compassion. Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively across shifts during the rotating schedule. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, with experience or interest in psychiatric and adolescent care preferred. Ability to work a rotating 12-hour first-shift schedule, including every other weekend and holiday. Willingness and ability to pass a Child Protective Services clearance. Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine commitment to caring for young people facing mental health challenges.
