About the Role
As a Project Superintendent - Site Development at Glenn O. Hawbaker in State College, Centre County, you will partner with the Project Manager and senior Project Superintendent to organize and run the daily operations of active site development projects. This is an hourly, non-exempt position carried out under a mix of direct and indirect supervision, with a clear focus on keeping work safe, productive, and built to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Help plan, schedule, and carry out the day-to-day field operations of assigned projects.
- Build and maintain a complete, detailed understanding of project plans, scope, and requirements.
- Coordinate field activities alongside supporting operations to keep the project moving on schedule.
- Champion safety on the jobsite and reinforce a culture of working safely at all times.
- Uphold quality standards and look for ways to improve crew productivity.
- Work effectively under both direct and indirect supervision to meet project goals.
Qualifications
- Background in site development, heavy civil, or related construction operations.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and translate them into daily field execution.
- Strong coordination, scheduling, and communication skills for working with project leadership and crews.
- A consistent commitment to jobsite safety, quality, and productivity.
- Willingness to work on-site in State College, Centre County (this role is not remote).
