About the Role As the Project Manager Pre Con East & Central, you will own and orchestrate the full slate of preconstruction activities that move a project from concept toward shovel-ready status. Working within RWE Americas' Project Management function, you will align engineering, permitting, interconnection, and scope definition so that each utility-scale wind, solar, and storage project is positioned for a smooth, well-prepared build. This is a full-time, permanent, exempt position based on-site in Chicago, with a start date as soon as possible. Key Responsibilities Direct and coordinate all preconstruction workstreams for utility-scale renewable energy projects across the East and Central regions. Guide early engineering efforts and help shape a clear, executable project scope. Advance permitting requirements and keep approvals on track. Manage interconnection processes in partnership with internal teams and external stakeholders. Ensure preconstruction deliverables are ready, accurate, and aligned ahead of construction handoff. Qualifications Demonstrated project management experience, ideally within renewable energy, infrastructure, or utility-scale construction. Working knowledge of preconstruction phases such as engineering, permitting, interconnection, and scope development. Strong coordination skills with the ability to keep multiple disciplines and stakeholders aligned. Comfort working on-site in the Illinois Medical District, Chicago. Availability to start as soon as possible in a full-time, permanent capacity.
