About the Role Novartis is searching for a seasoned Principal Scientist to lead pharmacokinetics (PK) sciences initiatives that bridge translational research and late-stage clinical development. You will shape dosing strategies, optimize drug exposure across patient populations, and translate laboratory findings into clinically meaningful insights that accelerate our path to transformative medicines. What You'll Do Design and execute pharmacokinetic and translational pharmacology studies to inform clinical development strategies Conduct rigorous data analysis and modeling to characterize drug behavior, bioavailability, and exposure-response relationships Collaborate with clinical, regulatory, and development teams to establish dosing rationales and define patient population strategies Lead scientific recommendations and prepare regulatory submissions to support IND applications and clinical trial progress Synthesize complex pharmacological data into clear strategic guidance for cross-functional project teams Mentor junior scientists and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the PK sciences community What We're Looking For PhD or equivalent in pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, toxicology, pharmaceutical sciences, or related discipline 5+ years of professional experience in pharmaceutical PK sciences, clinical pharmacology, or translational research Demonstrated expertise in pharmacokinetic study design, data analysis, and modeling Strong grasp of regulatory pathways and ability to communicate with FDA and other health authorities Proven leadership abilities and track record of contributing to successful program advancement Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence and collaborate across organizations About Novartis Novartis reimagines medicine to improve and extend lives.
