About the Role We're seeking a talented postdoctoral researcher to contribute to innovative investigations advancing hematologic and oncologic science. You'll work alongside distinguished faculty and collaborative research teams to design original studies, generate novel data, and help expand treatment possibilities for patients with hematologic malignancies and solid tumors. What You'll Do Design, plan, and execute independent research projects in collaboration with faculty mentors and interdisciplinary research teams Conduct laboratory experiments, manage biological and clinical research samples, and maintain precise scientific documentation Analyze complex research datasets using statistical, computational, and bioinformatic approaches Author and revise scientific manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals and conferences Present research findings at department seminars, national conferences, and institutional research forums Provide mentorship and technical guidance to graduate students and junior researchers in the laboratory Ensure compliance with institutional review boards, research ethics standards, and regulatory protocols What We're Looking For Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent research doctorate in biology, chemistry, molecular biology, immunology, or related field Demonstrated research experience in cancer biology, hematology, translational medicine, or related specialty areas Proficiency in laboratory techniques, experimental design, and quantitative data analysis Strong scientific writing and presentation skills for manuscripts and conference communications Ability to work effectively within collaborative, multidisciplinary research environments Commitment to research integrity, professional development, and scientific rigor About University of Nebraska Medical Center UNMC UNMC is a premier academic medical center committed to advancing biomedical research, health professions education, and innovative patient care.
