The post suits an experienced hands-on fitter who thrives when production runs continuously and takes quiet satisfaction in reliable plant performance. Responsibilities Execute planned preventive maintenance plus rapid reactive repairs on food-processing equipment so downtime stays minimal Diagnose mechanical faults on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes and associated fittings under real-time pressure Strip, rebuild and refit mechanical assemblies while observing hygiene and food-safety rules Coordinate daily work orders with production teams to protect plant throughput Record completed tasks accurately and flag emerging wear before smaller issues become stoppages Qualifications Proven track record as a maintenance fitter inside manufacturing or processing plants Strong capability in mechanical fitting, fault finding and on-the-spot repairs Willingness to work consistent afternoon shifts in a high-output environment Solid grounding in workplace safety and food-industry clean standards Trade-level competence that underpins everyday plant-maintenance duties More About Blackbook Executive Blackbook Executive is hiring for this role and offers a supportive team environment.
