About the Role This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract based in London, United Kingdom. As TrueLayer's People Ops and Automation Lead, you'll own the entire People Operations function — from employee lifecycle processes and systems to automation and data integrity. After a period of rapid growth, our People team needs someone obsessed with making everything run like clockwork: fast processes, smart automations, and real value delivered to employees across our global teams. Key Responsibilities Lead the People Operations team to build a streamlined, integrated function that automates wherever possible across the full employee lifecycle. Own and fine-tune our HRIS platform (HiBob), safeguarding data accuracy, reliability, and a smooth user experience. Drive adoption of AI and automation tools to cut manual work and lift operational efficiency. Manage vendors for employment-related services, including background checks, employers of record, immigration counsel, and HR systems. Spot inefficiencies and redesign standardised, scalable workflows, designing out manual steps to remove risk. Partner with Finance and Compliance to keep operations robust and aligned. Build dashboards and reporting that turn People data into clear, actionable insight for evidence-based decisions. Document processes and policies with clear, accessible guides, and lead a People Operations Partner with a continuous-improvement mindset. Qualifications Proven experience as a People Operations Lead or within a People/HR Operations team. Strong hands-on background with People Ops systems and HRIS platforms — HiBob experience is essential. Demonstrated automation experience: turning manual processes into faster, sustainable, technology-driven workflows. Analytical and process-driven, with excellent data-handling skills; G-Suite confidence required and BI/data visualisation tools a plus. Highly organised with sharp attention to detail and a genuine dislike of errors in data or process. Skilled project leader, comfortable mapping processes and steering cross-functional work; experience with Notion is valued.
