Position Summary The Patient Care Technician serves as a vital member of the clinical care team, assisting patients with personal care needs and supporting nursing staff to ensure smooth, efficient patient care operations. You'll work in a dynamic hospital setting where your attention to detail, physical stamina, and genuine care for patients directly impact the quality of their experience during treatment and recovery. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, hygiene, and mobilization Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates Help patients transfer between beds, chairs, and wheelchairs using proper body mechanics and safety protocols Operate and maintain patient care equipment including bed controls, monitoring devices, and communication systems Maintain clean, safe patient rooms and sanitize equipment according to infection control standards Respond promptly to patient calls and communicate patient needs to the nursing team Document patient interactions and observations in medical records Support nursing staff during patient procedures and provide comfort to patients and families Who We're Looking For High school diploma or GED required Patient Care Technician certification or willingness to obtain certification within an agreed timeframe Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work physically demanding shifts Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams Compassion for patients and commitment to providing respectful, dignified care Reliability and flexibility to work varied schedules as needed Why Join Promedica Promedica is a leading healthcare provider across multiple Ohio communities.
