About the Role This remote Part-Time General Accountant (Philippines) opportunity supports the Accounting Manager with core accounting and finance work from Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines. You will assist with payroll, statutory benefits, accounts payable and receivable, financial recordkeeping, and Bureau of Internal Revenue plus other Philippine government requirements. Success depends on careful attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks efficiently on a part-time schedule. Key Responsibilities Help prepare and process payroll while ensuring statutory benefits rules are met. Direct accounts payable and receivable work covering invoice creation, payment handling, and collection follow-up. Prepare and support submission of BIR filings and other required government reports. Keep financial records exact, orderly, and current along with all supporting documents. Contribute to bank reconciliations and oversight of cash movements. Assist in building financial reports and analysis for management review. Help maintain internal controls, company policies, and standard accounting procedures. Support audit activity and put corrective steps in place when required. Aid accounting system updates, data entry, and process improvements under Accounting Manager guidance. Carry out other suitable accounting and administrative tasks as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. At least five years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; payroll and BIR compliance background is a plus. Knowledge of Philippine accounting standards, taxation, and government statutory rules. Strong skill with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel. Prior use of accounting software preferred. High attention to detail plus solid organizational and time-management ability.
