What This Role Involves As a Paralegal, Funds, you'll support Carta Law's mission to deliver investor onboarding, transaction due diligence, and complex legal work with speed and consistency. Working within our Funds practice, you'll gain hands-on experience in preparing legal documents, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, and collaborating closely with attorneys on matters that directly impact private fund operations. This role offers a pathway to develop commercial understanding alongside legal knowledge, with opportunities to move toward qualification via the Solicitors Qualifying Exam route. Key Responsibilities Draft initial versions of limited partner transfer documents including transfer agreements, consent forms, and subscription agreements Communicate with transfer parties to confirm timelines, process requirements, and document readiness Coordinate execution workflows and support the completion of legal transactions Contribute to client deliverables by working closely with attorneys and senior paralegals on time-sensitive matters Build substantive expertise in funds administration, legal compliance, and commercial structuring What We're Looking For Genuine interest in developing legal expertise—whether in compliance, contracts, or funds administration Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines without sacrificing precision Professional written and verbal communication abilities that instill confidence in clients Self-directed approach to problem-solving and initiative to surface issues before they escalate Effective collaboration across teams in a fast-paced, client-focused environment Undergraduate degree in law or equivalent qualification (preferred) Previous experience with limited partner transfer processes (advantageous but not required) Why Join Carta Carta is reimagining private capital infrastructure for the modern era.
