Paint Technician

Crash Champions is hiring a full-time Paint Technician at its Rock Hill, York County location — join the largest founder-led collision repair company in the United States and help restore vehicles to showroom condition every day.

About the Role

As a Paint Technician at Crash Champions' Rock Hill shop, you'll own the refinishing process from surface prep through final inspection, delivering color matches and finishes so precise customers can't tell a repair was ever made. This is a full-time, hands-on position inside a state-of-the-art facility where craftsmanship sets the standard.

What You'll Do

• Sand, mask, and prime vehicle panels to create a defect-free surface before paint application
• Mix, tint, and match paint to OEM specifications using computerized color-mixing systems
• Apply basecoat, clearcoat, and specialty finishes with professional spray equipment
• Perform blend, spot, and full-panel repairs that integrate seamlessly with surrounding surfaces
• Inspect finished work for runs, texture inconsistencies, or color variance and correct before vehicle delivery
• Keep spray booths, guns, and refinishing tools clean and properly calibrated
• Follow all shop safety protocols for handling paints, solvents, and chemical compounds
• Coordinate with body technicians, estimators, and detailers to keep vehicles moving through the production cycle on schedule

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience as an automotive Paint Technician or refinisher in a collision repair setting
• Working knowledge of paint mixing systems, color theory, and both waterborne and solvent-based refinishing processes
• Proficiency with spray application equipment and spray booth operation
• Sharp eye for detail and a consistent drive to deliver high-quality results on every repair
• Ability to perform at pace in a production-oriented shop environment
• Valid driver's license
• I-CAR or ASE refinishing certifications are a plus
