Online Order Filling Team Associate

Walmart is hiring a full-time Online Order Filling Team Associate at its Wood River, Madison County store — a critical hands-on role at the heart of the store's curbside pickup and delivery fulfillment operation.

About the Role

As an Online Order Filling Team Associate, you'll work directly on the sales floor to fulfill digital orders placed by Wood River customers with speed, accuracy, and care. This isn't a back-of-house job — you'll move throughout the store every shift, making sure online shoppers receive the right items on time and in great condition. It's a fast-moving, detail-oriented position for someone who takes pride in doing things right.

What You'll Do

• Use a handheld scanning device to locate and pick items from across departments based on customer orders
• Inspect products for quality and freshness before confirming them for fulfillment
• Identify appropriate substitutions when requested items are unavailable and communicate options clearly
• Stage completed orders in designated pickup zones for curbside handoff or delivery driver collection
• Operate store equipment such as carts and pallet jacks in a safe and efficient manner
• Follow all food safety and product handling procedures throughout each shift
• Partner with department associates to resolve stock questions and keep fulfillment on schedule

Compensation

This position pays an hourly wage of $15–$28 per hour, with the actual rate meeting or exceeding the minimum wage applicable to the Wood River area. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives, plus hourly premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour that may apply based on shift, facility, and other qualifying factors.
