Day-to-Day Responsibilities Perform thorough patient assessments and ongoing evaluations for individuals with renal conditions or those requiring telemetry observation Continuously track cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and fluid balance while promptly identifying and escalating any status changes Deliver prescribed medications, dialysis-related interventions, and supportive treatments aligned with care plans Partner with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary colleagues to coordinate seamless patient progress Provide clear education and emotional support to patients and families regarding kidney health, monitoring equipment, and recovery expectations Maintain precise electronic documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with facility standards Respond effectively during emergent situations and contribute to unit-based quality and safety initiatives Qualifications Recent completion of an accredited nursing program or anticipated graduation as a registered nurse candidate Eligibility to obtain and maintain nursing licensure in Missouri Current Basic Life Support certification or ability to secure it prior to start Genuine interest in nephrology and telemetry specialty nursing combined with a commitment to continuous learning Capacity to manage the demands of full-time clinical schedules while collaborating in a team-oriented unit Strong communication, critical-thinking, and organizational skills suited to fast-paced acute care About BJC HealthCare…
