About the Job Opportunity: Microsoft FSCM Release Manager (Remote Malmö, Sweden)

Role Definition
This role supports Inter IKEA ROSS in its strategic transformation by ensuring structured, reliable, and efficient release management across the DROP platform, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 FO), and D365 Commerce.
The Release Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the deployment of new features, updates, and fixesensuring minimal disruption to business operations and alignment with the ROSS transformation roadmap.

As Inter IKEA ROSS continues its journey toward a modern, data-driven enterprise, the implementation of MSD365 FO and Commerce plays a critical role. The Release Manager will be instrumental in orchestrating release cycles, managing dependencies, and ensuring quality and compliance across multiple environments and stakeholders.
This role requires a deep understanding of release management practices within complex ERP and retail ecosystems.
About DROP
DROP is a MSD365 FO and Commerce-based business platform supporting multiple products, environments, and stakeholders.
It requires robust release governance to manage frequent changes, ensure traceability, and maintain data and system integrity across multiple development, test, and production environments.
Responsibilities DROP Platform

Define and implement release management processes aligned with ROSS-level governance.

Coordinate release planning, scheduling, and execution across multiple environments.

Establish and maintain a DROP-level release governance structure.

Collaborate with stakeholders in products, QA, automation, security, and transition teams to ensure readiness and compliance.

Align release processes with CI/CD pipelines and ensure reusability for future migrations.

Ensure traceability and documentation of all releases and changes.
Responsibilities D365 FO
-
Manage release cycles for D365 FO, including code, configuration, and data deployments.

Coordinate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth transitions between environments.

Ensure synchronization between D365 FO and external or downstream systems.

Oversee the execution of release plans, including rollback strategies and contingency planning.

Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and audit requirements.

Support manual and automated deployment processes as needed.
Responsibilities D365 Commerce

Lead release planning and execution for D365 Commerce, including POS and retail store systems.

Coordinate deployment of retail-specific configurations, pricing, promotions, and customer data.

Ensure synchronization between D365 Commerce and external systems (e.g., payment gateways).

Validate data integrity and system readiness post-release.

Collaborate with retail operations to minimize disruption during releases.
Required Competencies
-
Proven experience as a Release Manager in MSD365 FO and Commerce implementations.

Strong understanding of release management, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.

Experience managing releases in complex, multi-environment ERP and retail systems.

Familiarity with D365 FO and Commerce architecture, data flows, and integration points.

Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work in an agile, product-oriented, and collaborative environment.
Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
