Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs and is seeking a Mathematics Expert to evaluate AI model performance on mathematics problems, produce original problem sets, and provide feedback to improve training data quality and downstream performance.
Requirements
- PhD in Mathematics, or MS in Mathematics with 3+ years teaching, research, or applied work, or BS in Mathematics with 5+ years tutoring, contest coaching, or applied math experience.
- Working fluency in at least two of: real analysis, algebra, topology, probability, combinatorics, differential equations.
- Comfortable reading and interpreting mathematical diagrams, graphs, and geometric figures.
- Clear technical writing; able to articulate reasoning step-by-step in written form.
