Manufacturing Engineer position at Mercor, responsible for developing long-horizon engineering tasks, building rubrics, and evaluating CAD models. Must-Have: BS or MS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, 3+ years experience, expertise in CAD systems and PLM systems. Type: Contract. Compensation: $75–$100/hour.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
- 3+ years in design, manufacturing engineering, or product development
- Expertise in a CAD system (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, NX, CATIA, Fusion 360)
- Proficiency with GD&T and a PLM system (e.g., Arena, Teamcenter, Windchill)
- Experience with a specific manufacturing process (e.g., machining, injection, sheet metal, additive)
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to articulate reasoning and encode it into deterministic rubrics
