Role Overview In this Manager, Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering position at Tract-capital, you will set direction for OSP design, documentation, and construction support across projects based in the Seattle, WA area. You will coach engineers, protect design integrity, and keep stakeholder hand-offs clear from planning through field execution so outside plant work stays accurate, buildable, and on schedule. What You'll Do Lead an outside plant engineering group responsible for route planning, aerial and underground plant layouts, fiber pathway design, splice planning, and construction-ready drawings Review and sign off on OSP exhibits, material lists, and design packages for constructability, standards alignment, and field usability Coordinate with project delivery, construction partners, survey crews, and permitting stakeholders to resolve design conflicts early Improve OSP CAD/GIS practices, as-built capture, quality checks, and engineering workflows used on Seattle-area work Balance workload, priorities, and milestones across concurrent outside plant assignments Support right-of-way, make-ready, and permit-related engineering inputs within defined scope Represent OSP engineering in kickoff, design review, and construction support discussions Skills & Qualifications Hands-on outside plant engineering background with clear experience supervising or guiding design staff Working knowledge of fiber OSP design, aerial and buried plant, conduit systems, splice architecture, and related notes and drawings Comfort using CAD and GIS tools common to OSP mapping and plan production Ability to turn utility records, field notes, and survey data into practical outside plant designs Familiarity with industry practices, safety expectations, and permitting constraints that affect OSP engineering Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional coordination near Seattle, WA Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent demonstrated OSP engineering experience Availability to perform this role from Seattle, WA in support of local projects and teammates About Tract-capital Tract-capital is hiring for this Manager, Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering opportunity and offers a supportive team environment where your leadership…
