About the Role

As a Maintenance Worker with SCI Shared Resources in Centerville, Montgomery County, you will help preserve the dignity and beauty of our cemetery, mausoleum, and funeral home properties. This hands-on, full-time position centers on keeping each location well-kept and respectful for the families we serve, blending grounds care with the careful, ceremonial duties that support memorial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall appearance and upkeep of cemetery, mausoleum, and funeral home grounds and facilities
• Perform landscaping and groundskeeping work, including mowing grass and tending lawns and planted areas
• Locate grave sites accurately and prepare and excavate graves as needed
• Install crypt faces and assist with interments, entombments, and inurnments
• Carry out routine repairs and general maintenance tasks across the property

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Comfort using groundskeeping equipment and hand tools for landscaping and basic repairs
• Attention to detail and reliability, with respect for the sensitive nature of memorial and burial services
• A professional, compassionate approach when working near grieving families and on-site ceremonies
• Willingness to work full-time on location in Centerville, Montgomery County (this role is on-site, not remote)
