Maintenance Technician

About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician with Halverson & Blaiser Group, you'll be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our residential apartments, commercial spaces, and common areas. You'll work independently and collaboratively to ensure our properties meet high standards of functionality, safety, and resident satisfaction across the Twin Cities region.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and tenants, diagnosing issues and implementing repairs
• Inspect properties regularly to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns
• Maintain detailed records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on each task
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors when specialized repairs are required
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company maintenance standards
• Perform grounds maintenance, snow removal, and seasonal property upkeep as needed

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in general property maintenance
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs independently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work respectfully with residents and team members
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Physical capability to perform manual labor and work at heights when necessary
