About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician at Flynn Applebee's, you will be the go-to expert for keeping our New Jersey locations in top working condition. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will handle a wide range of upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance tasks across building systems and restaurant equipment. This is a non-exempt, full-time position ideal for a dependable tradesperson who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine and preventive maintenance on restaurant equipment, building systems, and facilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general upkeep issues
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests to limit downtime and keep operations running smoothly
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment in line with company and regulatory standards
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager and outside vendors on larger projects and repairs
- Keep accurate records of completed work, parts used, and ongoing maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Hands-on maintenance, repair, or general facilities experience
- Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Ability to diagnose problems quickly and complete reliable, lasting repairs
- Confidence using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and a genuine commitment to workplace safety
- Availability for a full-time schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed
