About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician 2, you will perform skilled repair and upkeep work across affordable housing properties managed by Community Corporation of Santa Monica. Working on-site in Barrington, Los Angeles County, you will respond to service requests, complete preventive maintenance, and ensure each unit meets the standards that residents and the organization expect.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete general maintenance and repair tasks across residential units and common areas
• Handle work in trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and appliance repair as needed
• Carry out preventive maintenance and routine inspections to keep properties in good condition
• Respond promptly to resident work orders and document completed tasks
• Prepare vacant units for new occupancy through repairs, cleaning, and turnover work
• Follow safety procedures and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies

Qualifications

• Prior hands-on experience in building or residential maintenance at an intermediate (Level 2) skill level
• Working knowledge of multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs
• Ability to troubleshoot problems independently and complete repairs efficiently
• Reliability, strong attention to detail, and a resident-focused approach
• Availability for full-time, on-site work in Barrington, Los Angeles County
