About the Role

As a Mechanic III with the Springfield Housing Authority, you will carry out a range of unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair work across our properties. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Springfield, Hampden County, working a standard Monday-through-Friday schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair tasks on buildings and related systems
• Respond to upkeep needs across Authority properties to keep them in safe, working condition
• Support the general repair and servicing of residential housing facilities
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to address day-to-day building issues

Qualifications

• Practical experience performing semi-skilled building maintenance and repairs
• Ability to work a full 40-hour week, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Dependability and a commitment to quality, safety-minded workmanship
• Willingness to work on-site in Springfield, Hampden County

Compensation

This position pays $25.17 per hour for a 40-hour work week and includes an excellent benefits package.
