Maintenance Mechanic

MalaceHR is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for a full-time position serving the Lansing, Ingham County area. In this role, you'll be responsible for the repair and maintenance of commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, cooling towers, and their associated electrical and pneumatic components that keep businesses operating effectively.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will perform skilled repair and maintenance work on commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems throughout the region. Your work will include preventive maintenance activities designed to keep systems running reliably and efficiently, as well as responsive repair services to address problems when they occur. This is a technical position that requires both solid mechanical expertise and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues.

What You'll Do

• Conduct preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC systems, chillers, and cooling towers
• Diagnose and repair electrical and pneumatic systems associated with HVAC equipment
• Execute repairs to restore commercial climate control systems to full operation
• Maintain detailed records of all service work and equipment maintenance activities

What We're Looking For

• Solid experience with commercial HVAC systems, equipment repair, or related mechanical work
• Working knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems used in HVAC applications
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills when working with mechanical equipment
• Ability to work effectively and independently on service calls throughout the Lansing area
