About the Role

As the Plant Machinist at Zeus, you will serve as a key resource for the tooling needs of both the production and maintenance departments in Aiken. The position centers on building, repairing, and maintaining tools, dies, and machine components that keep our manufacturing lines moving. Please note that the typical schedule runs around 50 hours per week, and additional weekend coverage may be required depending on business and production demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust machine tools to fabricate and repair parts, tooling, and dies
• Support the daily tool and die requirements of the production and maintenance teams
• Interpret specifications and measurements to produce components that meet quality standards
• Perform routine upkeep and troubleshooting on equipment to minimize downtime
• Work scheduled overtime and weekend shifts when production volume calls for it
• Carry out additional duties as assigned to support overall plant operations

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a machinist or in a comparable tool and die capacity
• Working knowledge of machine tool setup, operation, and precision measurement
• Ability to read technical drawings and translate them into finished parts
• Willingness to work an approximately 50-hour week, plus weekends as production requires
• A reliable, safety-minded approach and the flexibility to take on varied assignments
