About the Role
As a Machine Mechanic/Facilities Technician at A. Rifkin Co., you will be the hands-on problem-solver responsible for keeping manufacturing equipment and building systems reliable, safe, and productive. This is an on-site, full-time position based at our Wilkes Barre, Luzerne County facility, ideal for a mechanically minded technician who enjoys variety and takes pride in doing skilled work right the first time.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and service production machinery to minimize downtime and maintain output quality.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Maintain the building and grounds, addressing facility-related repairs as they arise.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and implement durable fixes.
- Document maintenance activity and support a safe, well-organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as a machine mechanic, maintenance technician, or in a comparable hands-on trade.
- Solid mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair production equipment.
- Familiarity with general facilities upkeep and building maintenance tasks.
- Dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working on-site full-time in Wilkes Barre.
