About the Role As a Logistics Officer – Shipping with Catholic Relief Services in Honduras, you will help drive every stage of shipping for humanitarian programming, making sure the right goods and services reach communities exactly when they are needed. Working closely with the Logistics Manager and the wider supply chain team, you will coordinate commodity flows, troubleshoot logistics bottlenecks, and put solutions into action while upholding stewardship, integrity, transparency, and accountability. This is an on-site, full-time position supporting a multi-sector crisis-response effort delivered through Caritas Cuba. Key Responsibilities Partner with supply chain and program colleagues to deliver logistics services that match pipeline needs, flagging risks and recommending fixes. Facilitate shipping, customs clearance, and partner receipt confirmation in line with CRS, donor, and international and local supply chain standards. Coordinate with procurement so purchase requisitions arrive on time with full specifications, delivery timelines, labeling, branding, and marking details. Mentor CRS and partner staff and laborers to carry out commodity logistics accurately and safely, meeting security and health requirements. Oversee commodity receipt and the submission of vendor payment requests upon delivery. Keep complete, accurate shipping files and document all shipment movements thoroughly. Record every inventory movement — receipts, transfers, dispatches, and adjustments — in the Insight system per organizational guidelines. Prepare and review reports before submission according to distribution requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a related field; recent graduates may be considered. Two years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or procurement management. Professional certification in supply chain or an equivalent area strongly preferred. Experience within an international organization, with commodity tracking systems, and across Latin America and the Caribbean is highly desirable. Solid grasp of supply chain dynamics, infrastructure, markets, and applicable regulations. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and strong planning, analytical, and decision-making skills. Ethical, proactive, solutions-focused, and collaborative.
