Local CDL-A Driver

SYSTEM FREIGHT is hiring a full-time Local CDL-A Driver based in Clarence, Erie County — an excellent opportunity for experienced commercial drivers seeking stable, long-term work with a dedicated, safety-first carrier operating throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.

About the Role

In this Local CDL-A Driver position, you'll run consistent local and short-haul routes out of Clarence, Erie County, moving time-sensitive freight for dedicated accounts. You'll know your lanes, know your customers, and come home regularly — without the uncertainty of spot-market freight.

What You'll Do

• Pick up and deliver regional freight on dedicated local and short-haul routes across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic
• Transport time-sensitive shipments safely and on schedule, meeting customer delivery commitments
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in line with DOT requirements
• Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and adhere to all Hours of Service (HOS) regulations
• Communicate proactively with dispatch on route status, load conditions, and any delays
• Represent SYSTEM FREIGHT professionally at every stop, upholding the company's safety-first standards

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
• Clean motor vehicle record (MVR) and current DOT medical certificate
• Solid working knowledge of ELD systems and federal HOS rules
• Proven commitment to safe, defensive driving practices
• Ability to perform accurate pre/post-trip inspections and identify vehicle defects
• Reliability and professionalism suited to dedicated account work
• Prior experience in local or regional CDL-A driving preferred
