Latham & Watkins LLP is hiring a full-time Legal Workflow Engineer - Litigation to join our team at Grand Central, Manhattan, where technology and legal practice meet to streamline how complex disputes are managed.
About the Role
As a Legal Workflow Engineer - Litigation, you will design, build, and refine the technical processes that power our litigation teams. Working on-site in Grand Central, Manhattan, you will translate the needs of attorneys and case teams into efficient, repeatable workflows — bridging the gap between legal expertise and engineering practice at one of the world's leading global law firms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated workflows that support litigation case management and document handling.
- Partner with attorneys, paralegals, and practice support staff to identify process bottlenecks and engineer practical solutions.
- Configure and optimize legal technology platforms to improve accuracy, speed, and consistency across litigation matters.
- Document procedures and provide guidance so case teams can adopt new tools and workflows with confidence.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and continuously improve existing systems as litigation needs evolve.
Qualifications
- Experience building or supporting workflows, automation, or technical processes, ideally within a legal or litigation environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to map complex requirements into clear, scalable solutions.
- Comfort collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including attorneys and support teams.
- Familiarity with legal technology, e-discovery, or document management platforms is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities suited to a fast-paced, on-site role in Manhattan.
