Landscape Installation Crew Leader

Davis Landscape Company is hiring a full-time Landscape Installation Crew Leader to join their field operations team in Lisbon, Androscoggin County, Maine — a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional residential and commercial landscape projects.

About the Role

As a Landscape Installation Crew Leader at Davis Landscape Company, you'll direct small installation crews on active job sites, keeping work on schedule, on spec, and to the standard clients expect. You'll be the go-to person on-site — responsible for both the quality of the finished landscape and the productivity of the people on your team. This position is ideal for an experienced landscape professional ready to step into a consistent leadership role in the field.

What You'll Do

• Lead and coordinate crews of one to three installers across residential and commercial project sites throughout the Androscoggin County area
• Oversee the installation of plants, trees, shrubs, sod, mulch, edging, and other landscape elements according to project plans
• Inspect finished work to confirm it meets Davis Landscape Company's quality standards and client specifications before leaving each site
• Assign daily tasks, guide crew members through installation techniques, and maintain a productive, safe working environment
• Operate and oversee the proper use and care of landscape equipment and hand tools
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and, when needed, directly with clients on site
• Manage materials and supplies on the job, minimizing waste and ensuring nothing delays project completion
• Uphold all worksite safety practices and company policies

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in landscape installation, with a strong understanding of proper planting and grading techniques
• Knowledge of plants, botany, and horticulture — the ability to identify common species and understand their installation requirements is a plus
• Prior experience supervising or mentoring a small crew in a field-based environment
• A motivated, hardworking approach — you set the pace and lead by example
• Ability to work outdoors in varying New England weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering finished work that stands apart
