About the Role

As a Lab Assistant II at Conifer Health Solutions in Harlingen, Cameron County, you will carry out a blend of hands-on technical and administrative duties that keep the laboratory running smoothly. This on-site position is central to ensuring specimens are collected, logged, and processed with precision, while CLIA-waived testing is completed accurately and on request.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine technical and clerical tasks, including registering specimens and handling billing entries.
• Receive, sort, and distribute laboratory specimens to the appropriate areas.
• Draw blood through venipuncture and other phlebotomy procedures.
• Conduct CLIA-waived laboratory tests as directed.
• Maintain organized records and support the day-to-day workflow of the lab.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to perform venipuncture and phlebotomy safely and confidently.
• Familiarity with specimen receipt, registration, and distribution processes.
• Comfort completing CLIA-waived testing and following established laboratory protocols.
• Strong attention to detail across both clerical recordkeeping and technical procedures.
• Willingness to work on-site in Harlingen, Cameron County, in a full-time capacity.
