Telluride School District R-1 is hiring a full-time IT Systems Administrator in Telluride, San Miguel County, Colorado, to keep the technology backbone of our schools running smoothly. About the Role
Reporting to the Facilities, Transportation and Technology Director, the IT Systems Administrator oversees the day-to-day upkeep and continuous improvement of the district's enterprise education platforms and supporting infrastructure. This is a 1.0 FTE, 260-day position based fully on-site in Telluride, with an as-soon-as-possible start date.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain the district's education enterprise platforms and core technology infrastructure.
- Ensure systems remain reliable, secure, and available for classroom and administrative use throughout the school year.
- Perform ongoing maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting across district hardware, software, and network resources.
- Collaborate with the Facilities, Transportation and Technology Director on technology planning and priorities.
- Travel between district sites as needed to support staff and equipment.
Qualifications
- A valid Colorado driver's license is required, and applicants should expect a review of their driving record as part of the hiring process.
- Demonstrated experience managing enterprise systems and infrastructure, ideally within an educational or comparable environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to keep platforms running with minimal disruption.
- Willingness to work on-site in Telluride for the full 260-day calendar.
