About the Role
As an Intervention Specialist with the ESC of Eastern Ohio Consortium, you will deliver individualized instruction and targeted support to students with a wide range of learning needs across the K-12 grade levels. You will collaborate closely with classroom teachers, families, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments where each student can grow academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and carry out Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned to each student's goals and abilities.
- Provide direct, research-based intervention services to K-12 learners.
- Monitor student progress, adapt instructional approaches, and document measurable outcomes.
- Partner with general education staff to modify curriculum and implement accommodations.
- Maintain consistent communication with parents, guardians, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal special education regulations.
Qualifications
- A valid Ohio Intervention Specialist teaching license, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Familiarity with IEP development and special education law and procedures.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and classroom management abilities.
- A genuine commitment to equitable, student-centered education for all learners.
