Internal Auditor

Global Medical Response is seeking a full-time Internal Auditor to join its team in Southglenn, Centennial (Greenwood Village, CO) — a hands-on audit role within one of the largest emergency medical services organizations in the United States.

About the Role

As an Internal Auditor at Global Medical Response, you'll take ownership of individual audit assignments from planning through completion while helping to shape the audit procedures used across a diverse project portfolio. This position is based on-site Tuesday through Thursday at the Greenwood Village office and offers a salary range of $70,000–$75,000 annually, depending on experience.

What You'll Do

• Execute assigned audit tasks with accuracy and within established project timelines
• Collaborate in developing audit steps and test procedures aligned with each project's objectives
• Conduct Operational Audits to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of GMR's business processes
• Support Advisory Projects that deliver risk-informed recommendations to operational leadership
• Perform Governance Audits examining organizational oversight structures and policy compliance
• Assist with IT Assessments that evaluate technology environments, data integrity, and systems controls
• Contribute to Investigations as directed, gathering and analyzing evidence in a structured manner
• Support SOX Compliance activities, including testing of internal controls over financial reporting

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a closely related discipline
• Prior experience in internal audit, external audit, or a related compliance or risk function
• Working knowledge of SOX requirements and internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO)
• Demonstrated ability to document audit work clearly and communicate findings to stakeholders at varying levels
• Strong analytical skills with a structured approach to identifying and assessing risk
• Capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
• Professional certification (CIA, CPA, CISA) or active progress toward one is a plus
