Elia Grid International (EGI) is a global power systems consultancy seeking an experienced Interconnection Manager to lead interconnection strategy for major transmission, HVDC/HVAC, renewable integration and grid infrastructure projects in the U.S.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
- Typically 7+ years of professional experience in interconnection management, transmission planning, grid studies, project development, system operations, utility engineering or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. power system interconnection processes, ISO/RTO procedures, transmission planning, utility processes, grid connection requirements and project development.
- Experience managing or supporting interconnection applications, system impact studies, facilities studies, interconnection agreements, technical negotiations or transmission owner coordination.
- Good understanding of transmission systems, network upgrades, reliability criteria, power flow studies, substation interfaces, protection requirements, operating constraints and project development risks.
