The position emphasizes individualized care plans, clear documentation, and active participation in interdisciplinary rounds so every patient receives timely, evidence-based support throughout their stay. Your Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing function for inpatient populations. Design, implement, and adjust tailored treatment plans that address each patient’s goals and medical status. Provide direct therapy sessions aimed at improving articulation, fluency, voice, language comprehension, expression, and safe oral intake. Collaborate daily with physicians, nurses, occupational and physical therapists, dietitians, and case managers to integrate speech-language goals into the overall care plan. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on techniques, strategies, and home programs that promote continued progress after discharge. Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately in the electronic medical record according to facility standards. Participate in quality-improvement initiatives, clinical rounds, and departmental meetings that advance speech-language services across Multiple locations. What You Bring Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or eligibility to obtain it. Valid state licensure to practice speech-language pathology, or the ability to secure licensure promptly. Proven clinical skills in the evaluation and treatment of dysphagia, aphasia, cognitive-communication disorders, and related conditions typically encountered in the inpatient environment. Strong interpersonal communication, critical-thinking, and time-management abilities that allow effective collaboration within a busy hospital team.
