About the Role

As an Innovation Scientist based in Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz County, you'll drive the research and development behind a portfolio that spans vitamins, minerals and supplements (VMS), over-the-counter (OTC) products, and prebiotics and probiotics. Your work translates emerging science into delightful delivery formats — gummies, lozenges, chews and beyond — helping consumers choose better without sacrificing taste or enjoyment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine novel formulations across VMS, OTC, and prebiotic/probiotic categories.
• Apply food science expertise to create enjoyable consumer formats such as gummies, lozenges and chews.
• Run experiments, evaluate ingredients, and optimize products for stability, efficacy and sensory appeal.
• Partner with cross-functional teams across product development and manufacturing to move concepts from bench to scale.
• Stay ahead of nutritional and ingredient trends to fuel a continuous pipeline of healthier innovations.

Qualifications

• Background in food science, nutritional science, chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
• Hands-on experience formulating dietary supplements, OTC products, or functional consumer goods.
• Strong grasp of ingredient interactions, stability, and delivery formats like gummies and chews.
• Analytical, detail-oriented approach with a passion for turning science into real-world products.
• Ability to work on-site in Santa Cruz and collaborate effectively across teams.
