Role overview (listing rewrite)

Roboflow is hiring a remote Infrastructure Engineer (full-time, USA) to secure, scale, and operate the backend systems that power computer vision for more than one million developers worldwide. About the Role As an Infrastructure Engineer at Roboflow, you'll own the cloud architecture behind our product backend — databases, file storage, search clusters, microservices, and machine learning pipelines. This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving startup where you'll partner with our existing infrastructure team while collaborating across product, operations, and customer-facing projects. Comfort switching contexts between systems engineering, security, and reliability work is essential. Key Responsibilities Operate a high-availability machine learning inference service and keep it reliable at scale. Build infrastructure-as-code that lets Roboflow grow cost-effectively, and dig into cost-optimization opportunities across the stack. Partner with the engineering team to define SLAs and SLOs, and help resolve security and reliability incidents across the platform. Collaborate with customer security teams to integrate Roboflow safely into their environments. Strengthen security and processes to meet SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR requirements, keeping Roboflow audit-ready to the industry's highest standards. Contribute hands-on code to new product features in Python, JavaScript, and related technologies, and participate in on-call rotations. Qualifications Some or all of the following experience will help you succeed: Production experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Terraform, Helm charts, bash, and Python automation. Site reliability practice — alerting, monitoring, and scaling services on AWS and GCP. Operating infrastructure for large-scale applications, ideally in the ML/AI space, including GPU, Docker, and Kubernetes workloads. Node.js and Python skills, with the ability to design and run SaaS applications alongside full-stack developers. CI/CD automation experience (for example, GitHub Actions or Spacelift). Awareness of cloud security best practices, ideally within GDPR, ISO 27001, or SOC 2 contexts; familiarity with ML stacks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, or Supervision is a plus. A bias toward ownership, curiosity, and asking "How can I improve this?" — many of our team are former founders who thrive on autonomy. About Roboflow Roboflow's mission is to make the world programmable with artificial intelligence by simplifying how teams build and use computer vision…
