About the Role
As an In Home Support Specialist with Workorporated, you'll partner with adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD), empowering them to lead independent and fulfilling lives within their own homes and neighborhoods. This is a hands-on, full-time position rooted in respect, autonomy, and individual choice — ideal for caregivers who want their daily work to create genuine impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct, in-home assistance to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Champion each person's dignity, personal choices, and right to self-determination.
- Support clients in building greater independence within their homes and local communities.
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and supportive living environment.
- Encourage participation in everyday activities that promote meaningful, connected lives.
Qualifications
- A sincere commitment to supporting individuals with ID/DD.
- Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to respect and uphold each client's autonomy and preferences.
- Reliability and a dependable, caring approach to in-home support work.
- Eligibility to work full-time in the United States.
