Hydropower Project Manager

About the Role

As a Hydropower Project Manager at GHD, you will lead the planning and delivery of hydropower and water resource projects from concept through completion. Working alongside our worldwide community of engineers, scientists, planners, auditors, and environmental specialists, you will help shape infrastructure that protects the environment and secures long-term energy resilience for the regions we serve from our Downtown Carrier Annex, Los Angeles County base.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct hydropower projects across their full lifecycle, balancing scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of engineers, environmental specialists, and planners to meet project milestones.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulators, and stakeholders throughout each engagement.
• Oversee technical design reviews, risk management, and compliance with environmental and safety standards.
• Champion sustainable, environmentally responsible solutions that align with GHD's commitment to protecting our shared world.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing hydropower, water resource, or related civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in engineering project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and team leadership.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices relevant to hydropower development.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
• Ability to work full-time on-site at our Downtown Carrier Annex, Los Angeles County location.
