About the Role
As an HVAC Inventory Coordinator (union) at Johnson Controls in the US, you will be the backbone of stockroom and materials management for HVAC and mechanical service work. This full-time, on-site position ensures technicians have the right components at the right time, helping deliver the dependable, energy-efficient building systems our customers count on.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, organize, and track HVAC parts, tools, and equipment inventory
- Maintain accurate stock counts, conduct cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies
- Coordinate the issue, replenishment, and return of materials for field service teams
- Process purchase requests and follow up on orders to prevent shortages or delays
- Keep inventory and warehouse records current within company systems
- Support a safe, clean, and well-organized storage environment
Qualifications
- Experience in inventory control, warehousing, or materials coordination, ideally within HVAC, construction, or skilled trades
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with inventory tracking systems
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
- Willingness to work on-site in the US as part of a union-represented workforce
- Dependable team player who communicates clearly with technicians and supervisors
